“Yogi” — named after a term used by long-distance hikers to describe someone who cleverly solicits aid from fellow hikers along the trail — connects hikers taking on long distance trails with outdoor good samaritans called “Trail Angels.” Current avenues of communication between the two groups is limited mostly to happenstance and word-of-mouth, and Yogi seeks to bridge the gap between hikers who need help and Trail Angels willing to provide it.
